Revenant Crisis: Cleaning Crew

Demographic

Board games continue to rise in popularity as we enter our post-pandemic age. The board game market has risen from 7.2 billion in 2017 to an estimated value of 12 billion in 2023. This is largely due to people being able to reconnect with friends and family after a long period of separation, and wanting activities to do together. In this case I’m specifically targeting between the ages of 18-28, primarily towards groups of friends rather than families. The game is easy to pick up and learn, while featuring layers of strategy to keep even hardcore game heads enthused. The game is designed to be incredibly flexible, because inherently it is designed around player agency.

Players decide how many enemies they take on (though there are guides) which allows them to tailor their experience with the game to their preferences. Players also decide by how many room tiles they place how long a given game will be, so the game remains a viable option for both short and long sessions of playtime. The idea being to increase the likelihood of people playing it, and thus recommending it to friends and family.
